Why are attractive women as rare as dodo birds in emergency rooms? Here is a reader's interesting story. Okay buddy, I've got one that may put an interesting spin on your attractive woman/ER theory. Late on a Friday night about four years ago I was volunteering in the ER at Rampart General Hospital** when a GORGEOUS woman (I'm talking an "11" here — a SMOKING HOT betty) was brought in by the police for medical clearance before being sent to the psych ward after a suicide attempt in which she cut her left wrist with a kitchen knife. One of the nurses asked me to help her put the woman in restraints (a task that I had performed hundreds of times before). As I put them on her injured wrist she winced in pain, gave me puppy dog eyes, and asked if I could loosen that one just one notch. I complied. Ten minutes later she was gone! So there you have it . . . even attractive women who go to ER against their will find a way to get out of there and not blow your theory! Needless to say I waited many years to find another attractive woman in that situation so that I could redeem myself, but she never showed up. Good luck on your next book. ** name changed at the request of the person submitting the story
